Duke University President President Vincent E. Price released the following statement on today’s announcement by Congressman David Price (NC-04) that he plans to retire at the end of this term.
“I join the chorus of grateful colleagues and constituents in congratulating David Price on his retirement from Congress. For four decades, David has been a stalwart advocate for the Triangle in Washington, and his steady leadership and wisdom have been greatly admired in this contentious time for our politics. We are particularly proud that he is a member of Duke’s faculty, and his example of service continues to inspire our students and the entire Duke community. I wish him and his wife Lisa the very best in the years ahead.”
